A Midland-based drilling company has been cited following the death of a worker.

The U.S. Department of Labor cited Trinidad Drilling with three serious and two repeat violations.

The company's job site is located near Garden City off of County Road 125.

In February, an employee was electrocuted so investigators from OSHA were sent to investigate and that's when they found all the violations.

Trinidad drilling was fined $91,000 in penalties.

The company now has 15 days to contest the citations.
