Hotel Guest Threatens Clerk With Pocket Knife in Big Spring

BIG SPRING - An aggravated hotel guest takes his anger out on a clerk in Big Spring.

41-year-old Johnny Rex Davis was arrested Thursday morning at the Quality Inn on Tulane.

The clerk told officers that Davis came into the office, complaining about his service.

That's when the man threatened him with a pocket knife and started yelling threats and racial slurs.

He also threw things at the clerk and even turned overturned an ice machine.

Afterward, Davis returned to his room, like nothing ever happened.

Police showed up and hauled him off to the Howard County Jail.

He's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with bias or prejudice and criminal mischief.

Davis has since bonded out of jail.
