Three People Injured After Drag Racing Accident in Midland

MIDLAND - Three people, including a child were sent to the hospital on Tuesday morning after they were hit by a man who was drag racing.

Police tell NewsWest 9, the accident happened at Big Spring and Golf Course Road.

We're told the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro was racing another car down Big Spring Street.

That's when the driver of a Ford Focus, making a turn onto Big Spring was t-boned.

A child in that car and the driver were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

19-year-old Kristopher Valadez, the driver of the Camaro was charged with drag racing and injury to a child.

Valadez was also treated for minor injuries.

Police are still looking for the car Valadez was racing.
