Midland Police Searching for Two Hit and Run Suspects

MIDLAND - Midland Police are on the hunt for two people who took off after getting into a car accident.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Godfrey and Andrews Highway.

Officers on the scene tell NewsWest 9, they aren't sure exactly how the crash occurred but when they arrived, they found a truck and a sedan in the intersection.

The driver and a passenger of the sedan left the scene on foot, leaving behind another passenger who was pregnant.

Officials also tell NewsWest 9, the car smelled like marijuana.

The pregnant passenger was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital to be checked out.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
