ODESSA - TAKS test scores are in for the Ector County School District and while the results are academically acceptable, the overall scores are down.
Here are the results for the 33 campuses tested.
Nine schools received recognized ratings, 20 received acceptable ratings and three received an unacceptable rating.
Those that didn't make the grade were Permian High, Hood Junior High and Goliad Elementary.
Reagan Elementary was the only school to receive an exemplary rating.
The preliminary ratings saw an overall decline from last year.
According to the School District, last year four schools were rated exemplary and no schools were given an unacceptable rating.
School officials tell NewsWest 9, they expected the decline after the state removed the Texas Projection Measurement.
That measurement passed students who got good grades in school but did poorly on the test.
Now no matter what your grade is in class, if a student fails the test, they're counted as failing.
