ODESSA - Most parents wouldn't let their kids get away with this, not by a long shot.

An Odessa couple ended up in handcuffs for allowing their kid to make a bomb.

53-year-old Randal Deese and 37-year-old Crystal Parks have been charged with endangering a child.

Police say not only let their son build a bomb but blow it up at their home and watched.

When officers went to their house, they say the couple admitted to helping the boy find instructions on the Internet on how to make it and then they took him shopping for the materials.

The father bonded out of jail on Sunday but the boy's mom, remains locked up on a $25,000 bond.
