BIG SPRING - Big Spring Police responded to two separate incidents Friday night where shots were fired.

The first was just before 8:00 in the 800 block of Lorilla. Police say there was a shots fired call in the area. When police arrived they learned a dispute between neighbors had turned violent.

Police say a large group of people were on the scene and both sides told different stories. Both groups claimed that the other fired shots at them. One weapon was recovered, but no one was hit by gunfire. The trunk of a vehicle had been shot however. The dispute appears to be over money. As of late Friday night, no arrests had been made.

Later Friday night, officers were called to the 800 block of Creighton. There, officers found numerous shell casings in front of a home.

Police arrested 30-year-old Timothy Arview. At first, Arview denied knowing what had happen, but later admitted that he walked out in front of his house and fired six shots from a handgun into a vacant house across the street. This case is not related to the incident on Lorilla. Arview has been charged with Deadly Conduct.
