MIDLAND - Midland Police have issued a warrant for a teenage boy who brutally killed three Emu's in late April.
Sergeant David Garcia with Midland Police tells NewsWest 9, the slaying of the Emu's is the worst case of animal abuse he's seen.
Garcia says a Crime Stoppers tip led police to a 17-year-old in Midland.
Police were dispatched back in late April to an animal cruelty call in the 3700 block of Northfield Drive.
A few days later, police were dispatched again on multiple calls.
Police learned that one Emu had been shot in the head and the two other Emu's were beat to death.
