MIDLAND - Midland Police catch up to a man who led them on a wild chase on Sunday.
20-year-old George Zapata is behind bars on two felony charges, including aggravated assault on a police officer and evading arrest.
Officers witnessed Zapata driving in the Reyes-Mashburn-Nelms Park.
Turns out he was driving without a license so they tried to pull him over but Zapata sped away and almost crashed head on into an officer on an ATV.
The officer dodged the man and ran into another car.
Police continued their chase, but decided to stop the pursuit because it was too dangerous.
Zapata was arrested Monday evening on Thompson Drive.
