Former member of the Aryan Circle, accused of killing a man, walked free on Tuesday.

The Odessa man cut a major plea deal to stay out of prison.

The man walked away from murder charges in exchange for his tell-all testimony of an even bigger fish, the Aryan Circle's ringleader.

38-year-old George Scott plead guilty to one charge of engaging in organized criminal activity for assault and testified against the white supremacist leader as part of a plea agreement.

In return for his testimony, three of Scott's charges were dropped including a murder charge.

He and the leader, Billy Wayne Haynes, had been charged in the death of Rey Valdez back in 2008.

Scott was sentenced to two years but was able to walk out of jail for time served.

Authorities say the ringleader, Billy Wayne Haynes, wasn't so lucky.

He was sentenced to life in prison for his part in the murder and another 50 years for engaging in organized criminal activity.
