HOWARD COUNTY - Howard County fire fighters responded to a grass fire Tuesday morning south of Forsan. The fire was located near Overton Road and West FM 461.

Volunteer Fire Department Chief Tommy Sullivan says about ten acres burned, but no structures were threatened. The cause appears to be a power line failure, according to Sullivan.

Fire fighters responded to a small grass fire Monday afternoon at Rockhouse Road and Wasson. The fire burned about one acre before Big Spring fire fighters knocked it down. Howard County volunteers finished up.

No one was injured and there was no structural damage reported. The cause of the fire may have been a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked over dry grass.
