New Details Released in Connection With Weekend Stabbing

ODESSA - More details surface about the stabbing in Odessa over the weekend.

55-year-old Larry Colbath was found lying in a parking lot in the 2000 block of Alturas with stab wounds on Sunday night.

It all started when two armed men, Colbath with a baseball bat and 46-year-old Zora Cook holding a knife, began arguing and the fight escalated.

Cook allegedly stabbed Colbath with his knife and hid from police before turning himself in.

Cook is in the hospital because of a medication overdose and is set to face aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges as soon as he's released from the hospital.

The victim, Larry Colbath, remains in the hospital in stable condition.
