One man is in the custody of U.S. Marshals for failing to register as a sex offender.
U.S. Marshals tell NewsWest 9, Edward John Livingston lived in Midland for a year.
According to the Midland Reporter Telegram, Livingston allegedly volunteered with children at a church in Midland.
The name of that church hasn't been released.
Midland Police arrested Livingston for two outstanding warrants in California.
The first was for violating his parole by leaving the state and the second was for failing to register as a sex offender.
Midland Police have since turned him over to U.S. Marshals.
