Boy Found on I-20 to Remain in State Custody

SWEETWATER - The little boy found on the side of Interstate 20 covered in cactus thorns will remain in state custody for now.

Angel Flores was found in the middle of the interstate. He had been left there by his father who says God told him to abandon the boy.

A court in Nolan County ruled Thursday that Angel will remain is CPS custody. The boy's biological mother and an uncle have expressed a desire to take the boy.

Another hearing has been scheduled for 45 days. Angel's father is currently behind bars.
