Dr. Rolando Arafiles Indicted for Aggravated Perjury

Another twist in the retaliation case of two Winkler County nurses. Dr. Rolando Arafiles has now been indicted for aggravated perjury.

According to the indictment obtained by the Odessa American, Arafiles lied on the stand during Anne Mitchell's trial in February of last year.

You'll remember Mitchell reported Arafiles to the Texas Medical Board for malpractice

The indictment says that Dr. Arafiles answered "I don't know, sir" when he was asked how former Winkler County Sheriff Robert Roberts obtained addresses and phone numbers of ten patients.

It was later determined that he did know.

Arafiles is currently trial on charges of misuse of official information and retaliation.

Former Sheriff Robert Roberts was convicted last month of retaliation, misuse of information and official oppression.

He's currently serving his 100 day sentence in the Winkler County Jail.
