Midland Father Arraigned on Murder Charges, Bond Set

MIDLAND - A Midland County father has been arraigned on a first degree felony murder charge.

43-year-old William Earl Stirman was arraigned on Wednesday on murder charges.

He's accused in the shooting death of his 18-year-old son William Eric Stirman early Sunday morning.

The teen was transported to midland memorial where pronounced clinically brain dead.

He died Monday evening.

Stirman says he acted in self-defense when his son pulled a knife on him.

His bond is set at one million dollars.
