MIDLAND - Midland's Airpark is one step closer to getting some much needed upgrades.
Four months ago, the city council asked for state funding to make improvements at the Airpark.
After patiently waiting, they've finally received $95,000 from TXDOT.
Upgrades will include the pavement, lighting and drainage systems at the airport.
The funds are part of TXDOT's grant program that helps aviation systems around Texas.
