The fate of a little boy abandoned on the interstate by his father last week will be decided soon.
You'll remember 4-year-old Angel Flores was found on the side of I-20 near Sweetwater covered in thorns and dehydrated.
He was left for dead after his father tried to choke him to death.
Child Protective Services says they have received numerous calls from people wanting to adopt Angel or just wanting to help.
This Thursday, a court hearing will be held in Nolan County to determine custody for the child.
His father, 22-year-old Carlos Rico, is charged with attempted capital murder and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
