JEFF DAVIS COUNTY - Another West Texas County is banning fireworks.

Jeff Davis County got the ok from Governor Perry this past week.

The Fire Marshal says they will have a professional fireworks demonstration on July first but that was approved in advance.

It will take place in the area that has turned black from the Rockhouse Fire so there's not much left there to burn.

Here's a list of counties that have already banned fireworks: Ector, Midland, Brewster, Howard, Presidio, Andrews, Ward, Upton, Winkler, Martin, Mitchell and Jeff Davis County.

If you're caught even with a sparkler, you're looking at a $500 fine for each firework.
