ANDREWS - The City of Andrews has been able to turn a bad situation into a good opportunity.
NewsWest 9 told you earlier this week that the Andrews City Lake, which was made to collect storm water, is drying up.
The drying up of the Lake has made it possible for county workers to dig the lake two feet deeper.
So when it finally does rain, homes won't flood as easily.
The city is also asking residents to stay out of the lake bed because there is a lot of glass and other sharp objects there.
