MIDLAND - Midland's water restrictions will soon be mandatory. We now know when it goes into effect and what changes are going to be made.

The City Council voted on the issue on Tuesday night.

Starting July first, you could face a $500 fine if you don't follow the rules.

They also cut down the number of days you can water your lawn, it's now down to two days a week.

If you have an even numbered address, you can water on Saturday and Tuesday.

For odd numbered homes, it's on Sunday and Wednesday.

The times haven't changed; you can only water from 6 p.m. until 10 a.m. the following morning.

Those who use water wells are exempt from the watering restrictions.
