HOWARD COUNTY - NewsWest 9 has learned two accidents sparked two grassfires in Howard County on Monday.
We're told the first one at the Howard - Glasscock County Line was started when a work truck got stuck in the sand.
Heat from the exhaust pipe caught the grass on fire.
As for the Todd Road fire, investigators say that was started by a welder.
Fire crews put out those flames quickly but it still destroyed an out building.
Tickets were handed out in both cases.
Both fires are out.
