City of Odessa Exceeds Daily Water Limit by Five Million Gallons

ODESSA - More restrictions could be on the way to Odessa, that's after the city exceeded their daily water limit.

On Wednesday, the city exceeded the 25 million gallon daily limit by five million gallons.

The City of Odessa tells NewsWest 9, the only restrictions remain for outdoor landscaping and irrigation.

The watering schedule is as follows:

For addresses ending in an even number: Watering can begin at 6:00p.m. on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. Watering must end by 10a.m. the following morning.

For addresses ending in an odd number: Watering can begin at 6:00p.m. on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Watering must end by 10a.m. the following morning.

The City of Odessa added that no one should be watering between the hours of 10a.m. and 6 p.m. daily and further restrictions are possible to provide ample amounts of water for health and sanitation.
