FORT STOCKTON - They're not even 5 years old but they ran for help when their home caught fire in Fort Stockton, but sadly, the fire ended up being fatal.

The blaze erupted on Sunday morning at a home on west James Street.

We're told the three kids managed to escape and ran to get help from family members across the street.

Michael Franco ran to the home and pulled out 81-year-old Bonifaco Franco through a kitchen window.

But another man inside, 88-year-old Julian Franco, died from smoke inhalation.

His body has been sent for an autopsy.

Investigators think an electrical malfunction in the attic caused the blaze and no smoke detectors were inside the house.

The Texas Rangers, State Fire Marshal's Office, Ft. Stockton Police and the Volunteer Fire Department investigated the case.
