Man Arrested After Short Standoff With Police

ODESSA - A domestic dispute Tuesday morning ended up with a man being charged with aggravated assault.

Elias Subia Carrasco has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which is a second degree felony, and an additional charge of family violence.

It all happened Tuesday morning at the Hemingway Apartments. Police responded to a call from the victim, stating her boyfriend had a gun. She told the officers she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, Elias, inside their apartment. He also threatened to kill her while holding a gun to her head.

Carrasco refused to come out of his apartment when police arrived, but eventually came out and was arrested without incident. He's currently at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
