City of Midland News Release
Community Survey Results
The City of Midland and the Texas Tech Earl Survey Research Center entered a contract in January to conduct a community assessment survey. The results of that survey were received in April and an overwhelming satisfaction with the City of Midland was expressed; more than 93 percent of those surveyed said they were either very satisfied or satisfied with the quality of life in the city.
There were 1,400 completed surveys. The response rate was 21.5% and the cooperation rate was 40%. The final survey included 22 broad questions, with as many as seven related sub-questions within these. Questions were close-ended and were balanced among questions of satisfaction with quality of life, city services, city appearance and parks and recreation.
