Teen Sentenced After Pleading Guilty to Intoxication Manslaughter Charges

MIDLAND - A Midland teen is being sent to prison for 10 years after pleading guilty to a fatal DWI accident.

19-year-old Tyler James Poor pleaded guilty last Thursday to a second degree felony of intoxication manslaughter.

According to Judge Robin Malone Darr, Poor's plea agreement includes the suspension of his license for a year.

In October of last year, Poor ran a stop sign on Highway 80 and collided with a tractor trailer driven by 39-year-old Dominic Caccavale, of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Caccavale died at the scene.
