HOBBS, N.M. - In Hobbs, a drive by shooting sends a teenager to the hospital on Monday afternoon.
Police caught up with the alleged trigger-man, 18-year-old Carlos Navarrette.
He was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.
His alleged victim, 17-year-old Jesus Mendoza, was shot once and had to be airlifted to a Lubbock hospital.
Mendoza was sitting in a car in front of a home on west Lea Street, when he was hit Monday afternoon.
Witnesses say Navarrette drove by the victim's car and fired several shots.
