A Presidio School District employee has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a student.
Manuel Caballero Garcia, Jr. was arrested and charged with improper relationship between an educator and student.
He was transported to the Ector County Detention Center from Presidio.
Superintendent Dennis McEntire says Garcia was placed on unpaid administrative leave.
He says within 48 hours of the allegations, Garcia resigned.
He was arrested on Tuesday and bonded out the same day.
Garcia was a warehouse clerk for the district.
