HOBBS, N.M. - They work just like the real thing, but if you're caught with synthetic drugs in Hobbs, you'll be sent straight to jail.
City commissioners banned them on Monday night.
Products like K2 are supposed to be used as an incense-- but it's often smoked like pot to get high.
City Commissioners approved a new ordinance despite a recent statewide ban.
The City Attorney says the ordinance is more extensive.
It includes salvia and some bath salts.
