HOBBS - An arrest has made in connection with a weekend murder in Hobbs.

Hobbs Police tell NewsWest 9, 32-year-old Elgin Vine turned himself in to police on Tuesday morning.

Vine has been charged with one open count of murder in the death of 34-year-old Fashon Fields of Hobbs that occurred in the 1400 block of South Hannah on Sunday evening.

Police were also looking for 31-year-old Lisa Padilla for questioning. Padilla showed up with Vine when he turned himself in. Padilla is not facing any charges.

Bond for Vine has been set at one million dollars.
