MIDLAND - He was already in trouble with the law but now a Midland man faces even more charges.
22-year-old Gustavo Sorola was wanted on two felony charges of assaulting a family member and evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
Police arrested Sorola on a warrant Monday night at a home on south Midland Drive.
In the back of the police car, officers noticed Sorola fidgeting.
When asked if he had drugs on him, Sorola said no, but when he was taken out of the patrol car, police noticed a white powdery substance on the seat and on the back floorboard.
It tested positive for cocaine.
Sorola was then stripped searched and between one to four grams of cocaine was found in his right shoe.
Sorola now faces several other felony charges including possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility.
