ODESSA - Firefighters were called out Monday afternoon to two fires just down the road from one another.
The first fire sparked up around 2:45 p.m. on south Loop 338.
No structures in danger, but the flames burned through around 50 to 60 acres.
Just down the road, a smaller fire was being handled by the West Odessa Volunteer Fire Department and a tanker truck from Midland.
The Texas Forest Service was there to help put hot spots out.
Both fires were put out quickly.
