The State of Texas is trying to raise awareness about the growing violence at the Mexican border with the launch of a new website.
The Texas Department of Agriculture launched the website last week.
It's called Protect Your Texas Border and users can upload pictures and videos about their experiences with suspected drug traffickers at the Mexican border.
The point of the site was to convince the feds to add agents to that stretch of land but it's also attracting some controversy on their message board.
Some posters encouraged residents to take action into their own hands and gave them plenty of detailed descriptions on how to do that.
Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples says those postings have been taken down and that comments encouraging vigilantism should not take away from the site's message.
