UPDATE: Grassfires Starting Around West Texas

WEST TEXAS - Windy and dry weather are making the perfect conditions for grassfires.

So far, area crews have battled two fires.

One was off Highway 302 between West Odessa and Notrees. That fire burned 80 acres and is now out. It was started by a malfunctioning power line.

Another fire was burning southeast of Coahoma in Howard County, but it has been put out. The fire burned 20 acres off Snyder Field Road. That fire was also started by a power line.
