ODESSA - ECISD has sent a letter to all of their employees asking for patience as the district deals with a 27 million dollar budget shortfall.
The district tells NewsWest 9, they're currently talking with more than 100 employees who may be affected.
In a letter to staff, Superintendent Hector Mendez says any changes made will be as far from the classroom as possible to maintain quality education.
That means cuts will come from administrative positions.
Mendez also says the district is committed to placing people into open positions for next school year.
NewsWest 9 should learn more about ECISD's budget plans at a board meeting coming up on Tuesday.
