LEA COUNTY, N.M. - Lea County is seeking state and federal assistance following last weekend's nasty grassfires.
The county has filed the necessary paperwork and hopes to be declared in a state of emergency.
Grassfires have popped up just about everywhere from Maljamar to Lovington and Knowles.
