LOVINGTON, N.M. (AP) - Forestry officials say a wildfire in southeastern New Mexico is 100% contained.
The state Forestry Department says the so-called Enterprise Fire is an estimated 40 miles long.
The fire is burning near Lovington and has destroyed three structures. The Forestry Department said Monday that structures are no longer threatened after road crews and firefighters saved homes that were at risk on the outskirts of Lovington.
Authorities say at least 30,000 acres has burned. More accurate acreage numbers are expected later Monday.
