ODESSA - A former Odessa car salesman admits to stealing customers identity.

Now he'll spend the next three years in prison.

46-year-old Jose Rosa Ortiz plead guilty to identity theft.

He stole personal information from paperwork at a local dealership.

Ortiz admitted to using a customer's name and social security number to get a loan on a suburban, as well as opening numerous credit accounts.

Ortiz also has to pay back $50,000 in restitution.
