Three Charged in Connection with Murder of Lea County Inmate

HOBBS, N.M. - Hobbs Police have charged three people in connection with the murder of a Lea County inmate.

You'll remember 31-year-old Paul Lasner was killed at the Lea County Correctional Facility back on January 3.

Martin Knief, Lorenzo Mora, and Christopher Morrisett were all charged with first degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder and several other charges.

Their bond has been set at one million dollars each.

Lasner was serving a life sentence for the 1997 murder of a 17-year-old.

His death was the first murder of the year in Lea County.
