GARDENDALE - Folks living in Gardendale have turned in their petition to an Ector County judge all in an effort to incorporate into a city.

Actually, they've turned in petitions to create six separate cities.

Ector County Judge Susan Redford says residents turned in six petitions because they have to meet population density laws.

The only way to do that is to create six separate municipalities.

Those petitions are now being verified by the county.

If they're good, the County Judge would call an election for May.

People in Gardendale want to incorporate so they can have more say about oil drilling in their neighborhood which many say has become a problem.
