ODESSA - Continuing coverage on an Odessa Elementary School principal who has come under the microscope.
Former Barbara Jordan Principal Jan Brown has been charged with lying to a peace officer, which is a misdemeanor.
Brown came under investigation by the Texas Rangers after discrepancies showed up in the school's activity fund.
According to the criminal complaint obtained by NewsWest 9, Brown made a false statement regarding the Raise Your Hands Harvard Alumni Reunion Conference invoices.
Brown was placed on paid administrative leave but submitted her retirement on February 14.
It goes into effect on April 30th.
