Man and Woman Arrested After Fight at a Gas Station

MIDLAND - A high speed chase on Loop 250 quickly escalates into a fight at a gas station.

Police say 28-year-old Jessica Negrete and 53-year-old Betrand Tucker are behind bars for the crime.

According to the arrest affidavit, Negrete and Tucker tried to run 40-year-old Sherrie Plummer off the road several times.

Plummer eventually stopped at a gas station where Tucker and Negrete followed and allegedly assaulted her.

According to police records, Plummer said the man become angry when she refused to give back his truck that she borrowed.

Both Negrete and Tucker were later arrested at the Coventry Point Apartments.

Negrete is facing second-degree felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
She's being held on a $10,000 bond.

Tucker was booked for with a misdemeanor charge of simple assault and is being held on a $2,500 bond.
