MIDLAND - Firefighters are putting out hot spots following an afternoon grassfire in Midland.
NewsWest 9 received several calls into our newsroom from people seeing heavy black smoke.
The flames sparked up around 4:00p.m. Friday afternoon in the 1000 block of south Webster Street.
A few acres were charred and some tires also caught fire.
Firefighters quickly got everything under control and the fire is now out.
