MIDLAND - One of the biggest water pipe breaks yet happened Friday evening in downtown Midland.

A water line that feeds a fire suppression system in One Wall Plaza burst around 8:00 Friday night.

The broken line flooded the 7th floor and sent water streaming down the side of the building and out into the street.

Firefighters say there was at least three inches of water on the 7th floor when they arrived. Water also got into the building's electrical system.

Both the water and the electricity to the building have been shut off. That has also shut off some traffic lights near Big Spring and Wall. Officials are asking drivers to treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
