City of Odessa Dealing with Water Line Breaks

ODESSA - The City of Odessa is working to repair three water main breaks and anticipates more as West Texas begins to emerge from a deep freeze.

The city is asking drivers to be on the lookout for utility work areas and crews fix the breaks.

Businesses and residents may also experience water line breaks. Property owners should be aware that if the water leak is in the structure or back yard of the structure, the leak could be on the property owner's side of the meter and the property owner will need to contact a plumber for repairs. Property owners can and are encouraged to turn their water off at the meter if they are experiencing a line break.

If property owners have been without water due to frozen pipes, they are encouraged to turn their water off at the meter if the structure will be unoccupied for an extended period of time.

If anyone suspects a main water line break because of large volumes of water in the street or alley they are encouraged to call (432) 335-4625.
