Coahoma Woman Sentenced to Prison for Selling Pills

MIDLAND - A Coahoma woman was sentenced to federal prison Thursday in Midland.

46-year-old Debra Ann Buchanan of Coahoma was sentenced to nearly five years in prison for trafficking in oxycodone. She sold the pills from September of 2009 to August of last year.

Buchanan admitted to being part of a ring of individuals who sold large quantities of oxycodone throughout the Permian Basin. Buchanan had a prescription from a doctor in San Angelo and was one of the sources of supply of pills.
