PECOS - The Pecos City Council took up a number of issues at their meeting on Thursday night.

The Council passed a sex offender ordinance. That ordinance puts the city in line with state laws. The chief of police will be responsible for registering sex offenders.

No action was taken on the issue of air ambulance service.

The air ambulance company did a presentation but that issue will be presented at a future meeting.

Council members also met in executive session to discuss holding more than one office at a time.

They also didn't take any action on that item and don't plan to in the future.

City Councilman Frank Sanchez is a reserve police officer and Councilman Cody West also serves as Justice of the Peace.
