MIDLAND - New details on a chimney fire that sparked up in Midland.
Fire officials tell NewsWest 9, the fire started in the fireplace at a home on Arbor Circle on Monday night.
A metal pipe inside the chimney got too hot and the heat caught the wood framing around the fireplace on fire.
The flames were confined to the attic, but the home did have water and smoke damage.
Damage is estimated at $10,000.
