ODESSA - An Ector County ISD principal has been placed on paid administrative leave while the Texas Rangers investigate the school's activity fund.

Jan Brown, who is principal at Barbara Jordan Elementary, was placed on leave late Friday evening. The district says that is standard procedure for cases like this one.

The Texas Rangers started investigating the school's activity fund after an internal and external audit found discrepancies back in December.
